Wolf Ackerman is an emerging, innovative, and detail-oriented architecture firm that is passionate about our work and committed to the idea that good design makes a difference. Established in 2002, our goal has been to distinguish our practice through thoughtful design that is sensitive to its site, creative in its accommodation of program, and innovative in its use of materials and technologies. We provide residential, commercial and institutional clients with professional services that include feasibility and master planning studies, detailed building and interior design services, and comprehensive construction administration. Our firm includes the two founding partners, Fred Wolf and Dave Ackerman, as well as two associates and one administrative assistant. Each partner has over 20 years of experience and their individual backgrounds include projects that vary dramatically in type, scale, budget, and scope: from modest renovations and new residential design to mid-sized commercial offices, mixed-used and multi-family developments, restaurants, and retail storefronts to large hotels, airport terminals, and high-rise office towers. Both partners have taught design at the University of Virginia as adjunct faculty and each has served on local boards related to design, development, and non-profit groups within our community. Fred Wolf is currently the Chair of Charlottesville's Board of Architectural Review.
